The original layout featured an upper deck and a staircase leading down to the pool area, but the space between these levels was underutilized. Our goal was to maximize this area, transforming it into a vibrant and versatile outdoor living space.
Key Enhancements
Expanded Upper Deck: We began by enlarging the upper deck to provide more room for relaxation and entertaining. The deck now boasts an exquisite finish using IPE (Brazilian walnut), renowned for its durability and rich, warm tones. Complemented by sleek wood and wire railings, the deck offers an elegant yet modern look.
Retaining Wall Construction: To address the issue of wasted space and create a more cohesive layout, we constructed a retaining wall. This crucial addition held back the soil, allowing us to establish a new, flat level below the deck.
New Lower Level Features: On this newly created level, we installed high-quality travertine pavers over a concrete base, adding a touch of sophistication and durability. The area is now ideal for outdoor gatherings and relaxation.
Custom Outdoor Kitchen and Entertainment Areas: To enhance the functionality of the space, we integrated a full outdoor kitchen complete with modern appliances, ideal for family meals and entertaining guests. On the opposite side, a concrete built-in bench with an integrated fire pit provides a cozy, inviting spot for evening conversations.
Elegant Trellises with Integrated Fans: Adding a touch of architectural elegance, we installed two metal trellises with cantilevered designs. Each trellis includes integrated fans to ensure comfort and airflow during warm days.
