A Kitchen Below, a Deck Above
The unit below the garage was built out with a full kitchen and a marble covered bathroom. On top of the garage, a roof deck was created to take advantage of the views the site already had and was not using.
What We Found When We Opened the Frame
Once the structure was opened up there was massive water damage to the frame. That changed the project. On top of that, this garage is built connected to the house next door, so there was no access at all to the back side of the structure. The frame had to be supported in place and the structure rebuilt from there.

Santa Barbara stucco outside, with custom wood windows. Inside, a marble shower, a flagstone landing and custom built ins throughout.
